Reflection in Nursing

http://www.grandsuperior.com/images/whattodo/relaxing1.jpg

Reflections are of great importance in the nursing profession. I am very appreciative of how the nursing program greatly emphasizes on the importance of reflection in the program. Reflections help people in better understanding themselves because by reflecting they are able to learn their strengths and weaknesses.
In my opinion, nurses should be able to take the time to reflect on their own life experiences. When a nurse takes the time to reflect, he/she is able to learn from mistakes he/she made from past experiences, which would consecutively help him/her in making the right decisions when caring for patients in the future.

I completely agree. Reflection is very important; not only to nursing, but for everyday living. It is important to reflect upon mistakes, in order to make adjustments in our behaviours.

I totally agree with the importance of reflection. As nurses we are always providing care to others and we should take time to care for ourselves.

I strongly agree. Reflection is an enormous part of this honorable profession; and I hope to reflect on all my past experiences of caring and take it with me as I go into clinical next semester!!

I think it really is important to practice reflection when you are a practicing nurse. It gives you an opportunity to ponder what happened and it improves your skills as a nurse.
